All of my stock that I am using for breeding are up to par (if not above) and are very good representatives for their breed. I breed for show quality and practicality. I do offer hatching eggs for sale, they come from the same pens that i use for my own breeding program. I cannot possibly hatch all the eggs i get so this is a great way to get started in quality poultry. You never know what will hatch quality wise, not every bird will be perfect, but you have a better chance of hatching quality birds when the eggs come from quality parents. There is risk involved with hatching eggs when shipped through mail. The average hatch is about 50%. But if like in my case, there are no breeders local to you, its a more affordable option then spending hundreds of dollars on flying in mature stock.
With spring right around the corner and increased interest in the hatching eggs i offer, I'm collecting names for them. If you would like hatching eggs use the "contact me" form found on the sales page, or e-mail me directly at [email protected] and let me know. I'm uncertain on pricing at this point, a lot will depend on my test hatches done in February. turkey eggs should be around the $3-$4 an egg range, chickens $2-$3 an egg, more for marans... quail $6-$7 a dozen? there about... I have a fair amount of experience with shipping eggs, and include a couple extra with full dozens to help with hatch rate. Unfortunately I cannot cover mishandling during shipping. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have as well.
I also offer chicks and poults locally come spring. I will sometimes have a couple from the hatches I'm doing for myself, but for people wanting specific amounts, or specific times, I can accommodate that also. I am also able in some cases to offer short term brooding for a small fee. This is a good way to get chicks that have made it past that first big hurtle, and are more robust which is invaluable for first time poultry owners.
